Writing Coaching

Writing and Language: Good writing is hard work; some students benefit from additional support. I work with middle school and high school students with organization, clarity, sentence structures, grammar, mechanics, word choice, and style. I can help non-writers and advanced writers to further develop their skills. 

 

Reading: Everyone can develop as a reader. As reading assignments become increasingly demanding throughout school, some students benefit from additional practice in reading comprehension and fluency. I work with developing readers to gain more meaning from their reading than they thought possible.

 

SAT Reading and Language: Even though many universities have made SAT and ACT tests optional, students should take these tests and send scores if they score well. This assessment provides universities with additional data and can work to a student’s advantage. Students will develop an understanding of the test, improve their grammar skills, and improve reading comprehension.
